Amy Cross
Founder & CEO
Amy C. Cross founded StillPoint Capital in 2004 and is currently the firm’s CEO. Since 1991, Amy’s career has been solely in the securities industry, as she is now a specialist in her field.
Amy began trading on the floor of the American Stock Exchange in New York City as an Index and Equity Options Specialist and ETF market maker in 1991. During the trading day, Amy was also a Market Correspondent broadcasting for media venues such as CNBC, CNN Headline News, BBC, ABC, as well as various live webcasts reporting on daily trading activity.
Amy began in M&A and in raising private capital as a principal in her transactions while she resided in New York City. In 2003, Amy then moved to Tampa, Florida where she moved into Investment Banking in the middle market.
Amy was named in the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s “BusinessWoman of the Year Award” in 2013 and 2018, as she was also a Nominee and won the “Enterprising Woman of the Year Award” in 2019. She became a FINRA Arbitrator in 2015, and a FINRA Committee Member to the Series 79 Writing and Review Committee.
Amy is a current and active member of ACG, AM&AA, and WPO among other professional associations and sits on various boards. She has completed Phase I of the FINRA at Wharton Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional (CRCP) program and has earned her Certified Business Intermediary Designation (CBI) through the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) where she chaired the IBBA’s Ethics Committee, sat on the Finance Committee and was a member of the Standards of Practice Task Force.
Amy has held her AMEX Regular Member and Specialist Certification, and currently holds her Florida Real Estate Broker Associate License, Florida Life Health & Annuity Insurance License (2-15), as well as her securities registrations including the Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 24 (General Securities Principal), Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law), Series 79 (Investment Banking), Series 82 (Private Securities Offerings), and Series 99 (Operations Professional registrations).
Amy lives in the Tampa Bay area and is very active in her community, enjoying sporting events, traveling, and the Florida lifestyle!
Ryan Bolton
Executive Vice President & CCO
Ryan is Executive Vice President at StillPoint Capital. After joining StillPoint as an intern, Ryan grew into the role of Research Associate where he conducted due diligence on transactions and lead various other projects. A natural inclination for compliance enabled Ryan to advance quickly and accomplish passing all major registrations in a short period. In his current role, Ryan helps to promote a culture of compliance across the firm. He offers compliance guidance pertaining to M&A and Private Placement transactions and advises StillPoint’s registered representatives on applicable rules and regulations set by FINRA.
Ryan particularly enjoys connecting with StillPoint’s network of representatives and supporting their compliance needs on a variety of transactions across numerous industries. StillPoint’s strong team ethic and commitment to excellence creates an environment Ryan is grateful to work in.
Ryan earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Political Science from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas, which included him enjoying his final semester with the American Studies Program in Washington, D.C. Ryan is a graduate of the FINRA Institute at Georgetown Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional (CRCP®) program. The program provides and in-depth understanding of the foundation, theory and practical application of securities laws and regulation. Ryan also holds his Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law), Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 79 (Investment Banking), Series 82 (Private Securities Offerings), and Series 99 (Operations Professional).
Ryan is originally from Stoke-on-Trent, England and came to the U.S on a soccer scholarship. He enjoys traveling, playing soccer, and living in Tampa with his wife Breeana.
Zaida Jackson
Senior VP & Relationship Manager
Zaida Jackson is the Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager at StillPoint Capital. Zaida brings over ten years of multifaceted experience in the financial services industry. Prior to originally joining StillPoint Capital in 2012, she gained experience in FINRA and state regulatory compliance requirements as they relate to representatives registration.
Zaida is responsible for recruiting representatives, registration and representative connectivity. Zaida’s favorite part of her job is getting to know the potential reps and working with our current registered representatives. She gets to meet and build relationships with some of the best people. She loves being able to help people accomplish their professional goals.
Zaida earned her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Communication from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL and is fluent in Portuguese. Zaida also holds her Series 99 (Operations Professional).
In her free time, Zaida enjoys the outdoors, home-improvement projects and spending time with her family. She and her husband reside in Tampa. Her son, Dylan, is a Senior at Florida Atlantic University, Go Owls!
Jennifer McGhee
Senior Compliance Officer & Chief Information Security Officer
Jennifer is a senior compliance officer at StillPoint Capital. She started her career in the securities industry by obtaining the Series 7 while employed at a broker dealer in South Florida. Upon moving to the Tampa Bay area in early 2019, she joined the StillPoint Capital team as the Operations Manager with a goal of moving into compliance. She accomplished her goal by joining the transactions team and earning all the required registrations to become a compliance officer.
In Jennifer’s current role as a Senior Compliance Officer, she provides guidance to StillPoint’s registered representatives and conducts reviews for compliance related matters. This includes reviewing transactions, marketing material, Outside Business Activities, and Private Securities Transactions. She enjoys helping registered representatives better understand the rules and regulations they are required to comply with.
Jennifer loves that StillPoint truly appreciates their staff and representatives. She feels grateful to work with such a strong team that is always supportive and willing to help the entire StillPoint family reach their goals.
Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL., and also holds her Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law), Series 82 (Private Securities Offerings), Series 99 (Operations Professional), Series 79 (Investment Banking), Series 7 (General Securities Representative), and Series 24 (General Securities Principal).
She stays busy outside of work with her husband and four children. She is the proud mom of a U.S. Marine and her three younger children are involved in local activities and sports programs. They enjoy having lazy beach days together, attending Lightning games, and traveling.
Jack Rubins
Senior Compliance Officer
Jack began his journey with StillPoint Capital as a summer intern, where he immersed himself in the intricacies of our operations. While completing his degree, Jack remained a part-time employee, eager to continue learning the ins and outs of the regulated compliance industry. Upon graduation, he transitioned into the role of Compliance Manager on a full-time basis. In that role Jack acted as a liaison between Registered Representatives ensuring regulatory adherence, fostering a culture of connectivity, and developed relationships within our network of Registered Representatives.
Now, as a Senior Compliance Officer, Jack advises StillPoint’s Registered Representatives on applicable FINRA rules and regulations and offers compliance guidance pertaining to M&A and Private Placement transactions.
Jack graduated Cum Laude from the University of Tampa with a Bachelor of Economics with a minor in Biology. Jack holds his Series 99 (Operations Professional), Series 82 (Private Securities Offerings), Series 79 (Investment Banking), and Series 24 (General Securities Principal).
Jack is driven to be a lifelong learner with a desire to continually grow and adapt in an ever-evolving industry. Jack believes that through collaboration, and a steadfast commitment to ethical conduct, StillPoint can not only meet but exceed regulatory expectations while providing a deal-friendly compliance experience for each of our Registered Representatives.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Jack can be seen around the Tampa Bay area with his Mini-Aussie, Orca, or Supporting his life-long favorite team, the Tampa Bay Rays.
Christina Rodriguez
Operations Manager
Christina comes to StillPoint with over 15 years of customer service experience and entrepreneurship. Prior to joining StillPoint in January 2022, Christina owned and operated a small business where she independently managed over 200 clients over the span of 10 years. She prides herself on creating long-lasting relationships and strives to make a positive impact wherever she goes.
As StillPoint’s Operations Manager, Christina acts as the executive assistant to Owner/CEO, Amy Cross, while also overseeing the maintenance of our office staff’s needs. This includes any HR-related issues, office scheduling, social media, and vendor management. Working closely with Vice President, Zaida Jackson, Christina also assists largely with the onboarding of all new registered representatives and the continued relationship between representatives and StillPoint.
Christina was born and raised in Tampa, FL, and is the youngest of three siblings. She is extremely family oriented and is a mom to a young boy. When she is not working, you can find the two of them exploring local events and parks. They are also both huge Tampa Bay Lightning and Rays fans and enjoy attending home games when possible. Andrew Dannettelle
Senior Research Analyst
Andrew joined StillPoint as a part time intern and came on full time after graduating from college. He was not only attracted to the industry, but to StillPoint as a company as well as the people with whom he works.
Throughout his time at college, he focused on business. Andrew received his Associates from Florida State University and his Bachelors from the University of South Florida with a focus on Personal Finance and Financial Services. Andrew also holds his SIE (Securities Industry Essentials).
Andrew is hands-on behind the scenes of StillPoint’s transactions and deals. He is involved in tracking and managing changes in active and potential deals to help ensure they are compliant for the given transactions, as well as being fully prepared for any potential deal closings. He takes point on communication with the firm’s representatives for deal needs or questions with the goal of as smooth of a transaction timeline as possible. Andrew assists with internal and external marketing efforts, making sure that we are communicating effectively and creatively in a manner that is compliant with FINRA regulations. He can also be found helping behind the scenes with the firm’s technical needs.
Andrew has a heart for serving others and giving back to his community through his church. He loves his girlfriend and family greatly and spends his time with them as much as he can. He enjoys working out at the gym but won’t say no to a cookie. In his free time, he can be found cooking, baking, or experimenting in the kitchen to improve his culinary skills, messing with the cat, or attempting to play golf.
Michael LaPoint
Research Analyst
Michael is a Research Analyst at StillPoint and works behind the scenes for the transaction department performing periodic due diligence of all client accounts and transactions to identify potential compliance issues or irregularities.
Michael is originally a New Jersey native and he came down to Tampa in 2019 to attend the University of Tampa. While playing for the Men’s Lacrosse Team there, Michael graduated from the University of Tampa John Sykes School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in finance. Michael also holds his SIE (Securities Industry Essentials).
During Michael’s time in Tampa, he was an important part of the 2022 Men’s Lacrosse National Championship team and received multiple Sunshine State Conference Commissioners Honor Roll and All-Academic Team Honor’s.
In his free time, Michael enjoys going fishing on the beautiful Florida waters and spending time on the golf course.
